I’ve always considered myself a relatively healthy person. For as long as I can remember being healthy meant choosing foods to maintain a healthy body weight. But was I truly eating healthy? I wasn’t so sure.
So I quenched my curiosity. I attended the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and consumed monster portions of education. I was so excited about what I had learned that I began making changes right away! After just one week of eating clean, I felt refreshed.
When I returned home, everything changed! My family quickly realized there was a new sheriff in town. I cleaned out the refrigerator and pantry, and replaced processed foods with organic and healthy fruits, veggies and grains.
Sure there was some initial pushback, but the results were undeniable, and the opinions changed! My husband has lost over 10 pounds, and my kids are feeling great, sleeping better and are genuinely glad to be junk food-free! They even make smarter choices when they are out with their friends.
